We are a fabulous, boutique marketing and design agency offering a range of services to our clientele including branding and corporate identity design, copywriting, social media management, web design, blogging, marketing strategy and more. There's currently 5 of us in our hard working little team and we are now looking to invite someone amazing to join us and be the master of all things accounts/bookkeeping and invoicing! You will be working from our divine office in Hawthorne just a few seconds from Oxford Street.
At this stage we are looking for someone to join us on a part-time basis, ideally working 2 half days a week (10 hours total - perfect for school hours). We’re growing fast so there is definitely the scope to build this role into more hours down the track. At the start, you’ll work with our accountant to help us do a bit of restructuring, we want to make the move from a ‘not adequately structured’ MYOB system to a thorough, transparent, brilliantly structured Xero set-up. You’ll be helping us manage the move and do all the fun things like establish what ledgers we need and setting everything up so it’ll run brilliantly month to month plus give us clarity on the performance of difference business areas when it comes to profitability etc. You won’t be working under someone from your industry so though the accountant handles a lot of the high level things, as they’re external and there’s nobody in the office to ask, we really need someone that has experience in a similar role and is an absolutely gun at Xero. You’ll be hitting the ground not just running, but sprinting.
• Invoicing our clients (using data from our project management system)
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Reconciliation of bank accounts
• Data Entry
• Profit forecasting
• Preparation of BAS info to hand over to our amazing accountant
• Set up of a new Payroll system
• Rolling out Payroll and everything related month to month
• And ideally some PA functions to help keep the boss sane.
You’ll be joining us a contractor so we’ll just need a monthly invoice from you and of course you’ll require an ABN. Remuneration will depend on your level of experience but we would imagine the role sitting somewhere between $26 - $30 an hour.
